POSITION:  CNC Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

• Injection Mold/CNC Manager should have a thorough working knowledge of the injection molding and heavy machining industry.  Will determine and implement methods required to produce injection mold tooling.  Will oversee the day to day operations of the plant through efficient management of supervisory and technical support teams. Injection Mold/CNC Manager will focus on meeting expectations of Quality, Scrap, Productivity, Safety, and Housekeeping.

 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee the management of production in an efficient, safe, and productive manner
• Develop/Oversee the machining and manufacture of Injection Molding tools
• Develop/Supervise the programming and machining of production tooling
• Ensure exactness and conformances to policies & procedures are followed by subordinates
• Mentor, monitor and report on subordinates performance
• Attend & participate in management meetings and customer meetings to discuss project progress, production issues, and new procedures
• Prepare presentations to senior-level management on status of production, scrap, safety, housekeeping, and quality issues
• Produce our products according to customer standards and in accordance to standards issued through engineering
• Operate within annual budget
• Enforce safety regulations
• Facilitate an unresolved conflicts presented by Shift Superintendent or Supervisory team
• Assist in the establishment of safety procedures for organization and ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other regulations
• Ensure compliance to TS16949 certification by all subordinates
• Liaison between Shift Superintendent and Director of Production
• Liaison between Supervisory team and Director of Production
• Liaison between subordinates and Human Resource
• Maintains time tracking in e-Time system

 
 
 
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with engineering to determine methods and feasibility of injection molding our products
• Determine and execute the manufacture of currently outside procured tooling wherever possible.
• Control all environmental aspects set forth by the company

 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4-year Management Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment

 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a strong management background with experience in production environment and should manage with a flexible leadership style
• Must have a strong background in CNC machining and be capable of solving machining problems as they arise
• Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple task
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills
• Must have a goal driven attitude towards motivating crews
