POSITION: Materials Scheduler

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in making sure inventory levels and inventory accuracy remain within company accepted range. Materials scheduling for all lines.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor  scheduling application to ensure production is running correct parts
• Schedule the extruders
• Release carpet from suppliers on a daily basis
• Send forecast for carpet to suppliers on a monthly basis
• Communicate with customer service and shipping on finished goods availability
• Understands cycle count processes
• Understands and follows  safety policy
• Attach new parts to lines
• Assists in taking inventory
• Understands 3S and strives for improvement
• Responsible for completing IIP requirements
• Responsible for maintaining working procedures
• Communicate any and all out-of-line conditions that affect shipments to the customers
• Attend weekly timeline meetings and complete necessary tasks
• Attend manufacturing meetings and provide feedback on any issues
• Review inconsistency reports and make changes as needed

 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Other purchasing/inventory control functions as directed

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required
• 4-year Degree or equivalent experience in Scheduling
• Experience in fast paced lean manufacturing environment very helpful
