Our client located near Jackson, MS is searching for a seasoned Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a growing company with a great working environment & benefits.

Senior System Administrator:

Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with infrastructure hardware and software systems. Minimum of six years of Information Technology experience required in a production or equivalent environment. Proven in-depth knowledge of UNIX, Linux and/or Windows operating systems required. Experience with multiple versions of Windows/UNIX/Linux required. Proven ability to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot physical and virtual environments. Intimate knowledge of UNIX/Linux and/or Windows operating systems required. Proven ability to install hardware and software, and write/debug Perl, PHP, Python, and PowerShell scripts. In-depth knowledge of networking, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery. Possess sufficient knowledge and experience to assist management in setting infrastructure hardware and software systems strategy. Multiple years of experience as a technical lead with enterprise-class infrastructure systems expected, including working with systems and/or storage virtualization technologies. Technical lead experience should also include supervising and mentoring junior staff and functioning as an interface with other IT and business units. Linux, UNIX or Microsoft certifications expected. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift 65 pounds and work with various hand tools. Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, which could include nights and weekends.
