JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior Sales Associate provides internal support for Sales managers.  Job responsibilities include market research and analysis, creation of presentations and reports, design and development of company marketing materials, knowledge and coordination of multiple customer-specific portals, and preparation of customer documents including price quotations. The position will require inter-departmental cooperation as well as direct interaction with customers.  This position will report to the Director of Sales.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:          
  1. Conduct market research and analysis regarding current and new products, customers, and competitors
  2. Design, develop, and maintain company marketing materials, including website
  3. Maintain sales files and databases for performance metrics, quoting, and long-term planning
  4. Support creation of reports and presentations for internal and external sales use
  5. Fully understand and support  internal quote process and customer RFQ requirements
  6. Enter required information on customer portals, including price quotation documents
  7. Coordinate and maintain records for all sales tasks related to customer-owned tooling
  8. Assist with product approval activities at customers and with completion of customer-specific product approval processes


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Coordinate customer and supplier samples when necessary
  2. Support other APQP tasks as needed for project timelines
  3. Interact well with all staff and participate in Star Point teams
  4. Must work well both independently and as a functional participant of a team
  5. Perform other duties and assist other departments as needed


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Four-year college degree in relevant field of study                                           Experience in development of online marketing materials is desired



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
    • Operation of standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers and pertinent software applications
    • Planning and completing projects accurately and on time
    • Proficient and demonstrated computer skills - including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Demonstrated written and personal communication skills
    • Administrative and interpersonal skills
  2. Knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
    • perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios
    • read a variety of product specifications and drawings
    • write documents following prescribed formats and/or present information to others
    • understand multi-step written and oral instructions
    • concepts of grammar and punctuation and record-keeping principles
