5+ years of hands-on experience as PeopleSoft Functional Benefits Administration, Payroll, HR Consultant. Which includes: general deductions and savings plans, personal data and job data
2+ years public sector and higher-education experience
Experience configuring and testing retirement plans
Experience working with 3rd party providers of retiree billing services
Experience with LOA and COBRA benefit billing
Experience with integrations and third party vendors is necessary
Technical experience is required – the consultant needs to be able to review and write sql
Ability to review app engine and sqr code is not required but will be helpful
PeopleSoft Benefits Specific Requirements:
Configuration of Benefits Administration (Benefit Programs, Benefit Plans, Benefit Events, Rates and Calculation Rules )
Affordable Care Act with integration to 3rd party administrator
Configuration of e-Benefits
Configuration of Life Events
Configuration and testing of retro benefit processing
Experience in all project phases including:
Conduct / Document Business Process Requirements
Facilitate Fit/Gap sessions to determine configuration and identify potential customization's (with a goal of minimizing customizations)
Author functional specification documents
Facilitate configuration and application security decisions
Configure the system to meet the USG business requirements
Develop/document test conditions, scenarios, and scripts
Conduct system and integration testing
Provide knowledge transfer to USG team members
Advise on options, risks, and any impacts on business processes or systems
Experience with PeopleSoft version 9.2
Deep understanding of setup tables, integration points and reporting
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills
Experience implementing best practices
Experience with PS Query and SQL is needed
Proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements
Ability to work cross-functionally with variety of people to accomplish goals and support others
Experience with MS Word, Excel and Visio - Excel vlookup is also a preference as we will be converting data from the Institutions and comparing against what is in the Institutions databases to confirm date converted correctly
