Job Description
 
Technical Skills

• 3+ years of Banner technical development and design consulting experience
• Banner 9.x experience (preferred)
• Well versed in Object Oriented Design and Principles
• Proficient with Oracle PL/SQL and relational database concepts
• Knowledgeable software development experience JAVA, HTML5, Groovy Grails, JavaScript, and UNIX
• Experience with IDE's: Eclipse, IntelliJ, or similar
• Working knowledge of Web Services, particularly REST
• Understanding of source/version control tools like GIT/SVN, Maven, or ANT
• Familiar with Ellucian's application suite for Higher Education (Preferably Banner)
• BS or MS in Computer Science preferred

Soft Skills

• Strong problem solving experience
• Ability to understand complex, inter-related data dependencies in a modular software application and associated integrations
• Perform and handle complex and multi-level tasks from start to finish
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Experience working with onsite and remote teams
